Brand & Positioning
The trust signals every home service site needs.
Visitors are deciding in 5 seconds whether you're real.
The seven signals to stack
Each one removes a specific doubt.
- 01
Google review badge
Star rating + review count, visible on every page. The single highest-leverage trust signal.
- 02
Real photos of the crew and trucks
Faces, branded uniforms, identifiable vehicles. Anonymous = sketchy.
- 03
Insurance and bonding statement
Visible in the footer at minimum. Some sites put it in the hero.
- 04
Years in business
10 years means something. Even 3 years means something. Brand-new can hide this and let other signals do the work.
- 05
Service area map
Visual proof you operate in the customer’s town. Removes “do they even come here.”
- 06
Workmanship guarantee
A specific promise. “If you’re not happy, we make it right.” Removes risk.
- 07
Phone number, top right, tap-to-call
The implicit trust signal: a real business that wants to be reached.
Where to place them
Spread them across the page so each scroll reinforces trust.
Star rating in the header. Photos in the hero. Insurance line near the form. Service map mid-page. Reviews scattered next to CTAs. Guarantee near the bottom. By the time a visitor scrolls to the form, they've seen seven reasons to trust you.
What kills trust faster than anything
A stock photo of a generic guy in a hard hat.
Customers spot it instantly. The site goes from "real company" to "marketing pitch" in one image. If you don't have real photos yet, leave the spot blank or use an icon. Never substitute stock.
The takeaway
Trust is earned in the first 5 seconds.
Stack the signals. Make doubt impossible.
